Wooden pallets are one of the most common and essential tools in the global supply chain. They provide a stable platform for stacking, storing, and transporting goods efficiently and safely. Types of Wooden Pallets

Wooden pallets come in various designs and sizes to suit different handling and shipping needs. The main types include:

1. Stringer Pallets
   This is the most common pallet type. It uses three or more parallel wooden beams (called stringers) to support the top deck boards. Stringer pallets can be two-way or four-way entry depending on the fork openings. Two-way entry pallets are accessible from two sides, while four-way pallets allow forklift access from all four directions when notched or block-style.

2. Block Pallets
   Block pallets are typically four-way pallets made with both parallel and perpendicular stringers. They use nine blocks (at each corner and in the middle) to provide strong support. Block pallets offer better handling efficiency and are often used in industries with automated systems or heavy-duty transport needs.

3. Reversible and Non-Reversible Pallets

   • Reversible pallets have identical top and bottom decks, allowing goods to be placed on either side.

   • Non-reversible pallets have only one load-bearing surface, typically lighter and more economical.

4. Wing Pallets
   These pallets have deck boards that extend beyond the stringers or blocks, creating a "winged" edge. This provides a larger surface area for load support and easier handling.

5. Custom Pallets
   Depending on the product's size, weight, or shape, some wooden pallets are custom-built for specific applications, such as for drums, barrels, or irregularly shaped machinery parts.
